Over many years, various treasure maps have been discovered or drafted to take treasure hunters to their destinations. Some have proven successful, while others were plain disappointments. In spite of the growing number of disappointments, folk, today, still search for the golden wealth in its remote corners, expecting to become wealthy by a dead pirate's accumulated wealth.

There are many legends surrounding secret lost treasures in each country around the globe. Some of these legends became very well known and famous, inspiring legions of people every day to search for them. One such legendary item that provokes this sort of devoted treasure hunting is the sabre of Kusanagi and all the legend that it is surrounded by. The sabre of Kusanagi is an especially famous sabre found in numerous best-loved legends concerning Japan. One legend tells the story of a god who yielded this weapon to beat the eight headed serpent who had terrorized the local people. Nonetheless, there are numerous unique myths surrounding the sabre of Kusanagi, and surely everyone knows that whoever owns this weapon will be a ferocious warrior.

"The night of sorrows" - that is how Cortez described the defeat of the Spanish armed forces at the hand of Aztec Indians. Cortez and his men were surrounded in Tenochtitlan, the mythical city of gold in what's today modern Mexico. They were holding the Aztec ruler, Moctezuma, hostage. When Moctezuma died, the Aztecs grew violent and stormed the city.
